Hello!
My name is Doctor Michaela Walker and I was born and raised in Humboldt County in Northern California-about 5 hours south of Coos Bay. My dad is a computer network technician and my mom cleans homes and business offices. I have a younger brother with whom I had an intense rivalry growing up and he still finds ways to "one-up" me, whether by becoming a veterinary orthopedic surgeon, publishing numerous research papers, or lecturing at conventions.
My education has taken me from private school, to homeschool, charter school, and public schools. I completed my undergraduate study at Humboldt State University and attended dental school at Loma Linda University in southern California. I met my husband while I was at LLU and as soon as I graduated, we moved to Alaska for my first dental job. We were in Anchorage for four and a half years and had many wonderful experiences and adventures.
Once COVID-19, quarantine, and travel restrictions began, and then continued to drag on, it became apparent to my husband and I that we needed to move to be closer to our families in the lower 48. With his family in Washington and mine in California, Oregon was the obvious, ideal location. While our dog Max misses the snow and blueberry picking in Alaska, his new favorite activities are going to the beach, seeing cows, and getting pup-cups from DQ!

I'm always looking for new and exciting opportunities to get involved in the community and for ways to improve the experience patients have at my office. Let's connect.
