Fillings
Fillings are a way to restore your teeth once they have been destroyed by decay. We use tooth-colored, composite resin filling materials exclusively because, who really wants a silver filling anyway? Composite bonds to your tooth structure and does not cause more damage to your tooth like silver fillings are known to do.
Dentures
Full and partial dentures are another way to replace missing teeth. Check out our office Facebook post from July 11, 2022 (Part 1 of our Tooth Replacement Mini-Series) for more info on the pros and cons as well as see a photo of some examples!
Crowns
Crowns are typically recommended once a tooth’s structure is so badly compromised that a filling would not be able to strengthen the tooth enough during normal chewing function. A crown acts like the bands on a wine barrel to hold the tooth together so it will not continue to chip and disintegrate over time.
Implants
Implants are another way to replace missing teeth. Check out our office Facebook post from July 25, 2022 (Part 3 of our Tooth Replacement Mini-Series) for more info on the pros and cons, an overview of the process, and a picture showing the parts involved.
